Vancouver is getting a free rooftop party and music festival under the sun

It’s not often that Vancouver gets a rooftop anything (despite having the killer views for it), let alone a rooftop music festival. But that’s exactly what’s in store for the city on the very last day of spring, June 20, 2026. After hitting full capacity last year, the Railtown Rooftop Party is back for another round of outdoor art, live music, refreshing sips, and connection under the sun.

You may have noticed that shiny, new recycling bins have been popping up across the city—and they’re pink!This is because Recycle BC has transitioned to two new contractors for Vancouver apartments and condos recycling services: Recycling Alternative and Emterra Environmental. Over the month of February, they’ve been rolling out adorable pink bins that not only give recycling a little pizzazz, but also make the process more convenient and efficient.

New Aritzia flagship boutique to take over former Nordstrom location in Vancouver

Vancouver-born fashion retailer Aritzia just revealed its plans for a new flagship boutique in downtown Vancouver, and although it’ll be a little while before it officially opens, it’s going to be major, and it’s located in a familiar spot. Spanning approximately 40,000 square feet and four floors, the new flagship will sit at the intersection of Robson and Howe, in the spot formerly occupied by Nordstrom at Pacific Centre.
